The UK is rich in culture, faith and belief. At Stanley Park Infants’, we believe it is vital that children develop an early understanding of the diverse world around them. Our aim is to provide pupils with the knowledge, confidence and vocabulary to engage in respectful, thoughtful discussion about major world religions and worldviews.
Religious Education at Stanley Park Infants’
Our RE curriculum follows the Sutton Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) Agreed Syllabus and is delivered to an exemplary standard. The curriculum is carefully sequenced to ensure strong subject knowledge, clear progression and high academic expectations.
Each unit begins with an engaging ‘Big Question’. Through structured, knowledge-rich lessons, children explore key beliefs, festivals, symbols and places of worship. Learning is enriched through artefacts, visitors and visits, bringing the curriculum to life and deepening understanding.
Pupils are supported to think critically, reflect on different viewpoints and give informed responses by the end of each topic. Assemblies further strengthen reflection and shared values across the school.
We are proud to provide an exemplary RE curriculum that promotes curiosity, respect and a strong foundation of knowledge for every child.
